Hi all! I want to make a very mild facial cleanser. This is the recipe i am gonna follow and i would like to know your comments:

    6% milcoside 301v2 (plantacare 2000)

    6% cocamidopropyl betaine

    5% aloe vera gel
    10% lavender hydrosol
    1%  hydrolyzed wheat protein
    1,5% panthenol
    2% glycerin
    0.5% chamomile extract
    0.5% Germall Plus
    up to 100% water
    salt for thickening
    citric acid to pH 5.5

I ve read on another forum that salt isn’t skin friendly… Is that true?

I don’t think it is likely that salt will have any effect on thickening that formula.

Thank you for your fast response. Thats because of these surfactants?

On another body wash recipe i made with sles 12%, cocamidopropyl betaine 7%, glycerin 3%, geogard 1% and the rest % water, salt (2%) did the job very well…

So crothix will be one way to thicken that mixture? What about Guar Gum or xanthan gum?
