    Hi all,

    I’m looking into making an all in one sort of shampoo bar. Currently, my shampoo bar recipe is as follows for one bar:

    60 g of Sodium Coco-Sulfate (Surfactant)
    16 g of Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Surfactant)
    15 g of Cetyl Alcohol (Emollient, thickener)
    5 g of Cocoa butter (Emollient, thickener)
    1.5 g of Citric Acid (pH adjuster)
    1 g of Optiphen (Preservative)
    2 g of some sort of fragrance usually Tea Tree Oil

    Also as an extra note, I have very oily skin. If anyone has any ideas for alterations I should make please let me know! 🙂

    What don’t you like about your current bar? It is much easier to make suggestions if you have an issue with your current formulation (e.g. too drying, not enough foam etc).

    Thank you for responding. :smiley: To answer your question it could be a little foamier. Friends have told me it can be a little hard to get going and maybe a little more drying for me personally.

    I would cut cocoa butter a little and increase cetyl alcohol a bit more.

    @Thota Thanks! I’ll definitely give that a try. 🙂
