I am currently working on a product that I am hoping to thicken with a combination of Lubrizol polymers.

I have two polymers that I am planning to use together in the formula and they both have the same INCI name (Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer). Do I need to list this as only one ingredient in the ingredients list?

My initial thought was to just list them both under the one ingredient but then I started questioning it.

Anyone have any experience with this?

    Thanks :)

If they have the same INCI name then you only have to list it once.  Although you have to add together the amount of each ingredient to determine what order to list the ingredient.

So if you have 0.8% of one ingredient and 0.5% of the other, this would be listed as if the ingredient was in the formula at 1.3%.  make sense?

That’s what I was thinking. I just started to overthink it and started to doubt myself!

    Thanks :)
