Please advice some good article on preservatives. I want to understand which preservative to use in our botanical extracts.

For example the same company produces:
    Green Tea extract
Contains 20% extract dissolved in water and glycerin, preserved with phenoxyethanol.

    Aloe Vera juice
Preserved with sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate.

Why sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate combination is not used in Tea extract also?
In which cases sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate are more effective than phenoxyethanol?

If I use both extracts in a cream formula, must I list all these preservatives in the cream’s label?

This has been very helpful to me. Here you can read that especially botanicals like Aloe are sensitive to microbial growth.

I do think you need to mention all the preservatives, as they all will be present in a certain % in your formula if you use them both.
    Maybe this is helpful.
