    Here’s a rundown:

    A. Water-qs
    Veegum-0.3
    Carbomer-0.3

    B. Glycerin-3
    Propylene Glycol-2
    Sodium Lactate-2
    EDTA-0.05

    C. Cetyl Alcohol-2
    Ceteareth 20-1
    Glyceryl Stearate & PEG-100 Stearate-3
    Isononyl Isononanoate-2
    Capric/Caprylic Triglyceride-1.5
    Dimethicone-1

    D. TEA-0.3
    Glycolic Acid-1
    Arbutin-0.2
    Niacinamide-0.5
    Glutathione-1
    Suncat DE (for sun protection)-1.5

    E. Euxyl PE-0.3
    Vit. E-0.5
    Frag.-0.5

My lotion is so sticky. What could be the problem? Is it the moisturizers? Is it the sun protection? Im running out of options … and ingredients also. Thanks!

Also, I tried adding Silica one time and the result is bad. The lotion did dried fast but it causes like your skin is peeling off-there are skin flakes. What should I add to have a matte feeling? Will polysilsesquioxane will do the same result as silica?

Reduce the humectants, add a little c12-15 Alkyl Benzoate or a volatile solvent like cyclomethicone. Remember it’s all about trials and experimentation to get desired product properties.

@Chemist77 @DRBOB@VERDIENT.BIZ should i add xanthan gum? I have one benchmark lotion here that used veegum, carbomer and xanthan gum all together.

yes you  can use xanthan gum which works well with carbomer:Should not be sticky as we often use the combination.I am not a fan of veegum unless forced to use it.

Agree with Dr. Bob, use Veegum only if the formulation gets unstable. Or better make one sample with Veegum as well and compare 2 versus all 3 comprehensively.
