Face Powder Press Machine
Hi, my first post here so please go easy on me. Firstly I’m not sure where to post this so apologies if it’s in the wrong place.
I’m wondering if anyone on here knows anyone who supplies or makes or where to go to get one made, a face powder press machine for filling compacts? I’m into vintage so I’m not talking about the modern pill presses or lab presses, I’m talking about a table top powder press for making small volume or individual compacts for use in boutiques or at home similar to ones back in the 50’s. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

A long time ago I had a press made from a slightly modified dental or denture press.
We used it for pressing powder, but not face powder. If there is an oil binder in your powder you should be ok with the achieveable hand screw pressure.
I’ve seen presses similar to the one I had made on eBay http://www.ebay.com/bhp/dental-press it was modified by a local engineer.
