  • Emollient Physicochemical Properties Data Reference Source

What are reference sources that provide comprehensive average physicochemical properties data for emollients (including many common vegetable oils, esters, triglycerides, and other emollients) used in cosmetic applications?

Ideally, the reference source I am seeking would include some or all of the following types of average physicochemical properties data for many different emollients (in particular for common vegetable oils/carrier oils):  spreading value and rate (mm2/10 min.); oxidative stability index rating; occlusivity rating; molecular weight (g/mol); polarity; refractive index; viscosity (mPa. s); penetration index; and/or any other emollient characteristic parameters.

You probably won’t find a comprehensive source for all emollients but here is a chart from BASF that is a good starting point.
I think Croda has a similar one.

    There is the O’Brien book

Fats and Oil - Formulating and Processing for Applications. CRC Press

and the Firestone book:  Physical and Chemical Characteristics of Oils, Fats and Waxes
