  • Dicaprylyl Ether to Give Emollient Blend a “Drier” Skin Feel?

What is your impression of using Dicaprylyl Ether (brand name CETIOL® OE by BASF®) as an added ingredient to an emollient blend for the purpose of giving the skin care product a lighter and drier skin feel?

    Thanks!

That material is promoted as yet another offset to low MW dimethicone, for those who cannot stomach silicones as emollients. Try a branched alkyl ester instead. Save some money too.
