I’m formulating a clay pomade for one of my customers, it’s a pretty standard formula but i am hung up on coloring it.
The customer wants the pomade to be nutella colored, a very dark brown.
At first i used what i always used, mica, but no matter how much i added the white emulsion never got anywhere near dark enough. I tried pigments, activated charcoal and different clays, unfortunately, none of them got dark enough.

If my ingredients are of any help, here they are:

    Water
    Beeswax
    Microcrystalline Wax
    Peg 40 HCO
    E-Wax NF
    Lanolin
    Castor Oil
    Silica
    Kaolin Clay
    Synthetic Fragrance

I use Phenoxyethanol and Ethylhexylglycerin as a preservative.

Any idea what could get me that rich dark color?
