    Does anybody has experience with cold emulsifiers for face and body creams? The ones I checked have a pretty low oil loading capacity.

    I haven’t yet. I just checked the specs from Clariant.

    you are planning to make o/w or w/o lotion?

    I could do either , although o/w would be preferable.

    When you’re creating an emulsion, the emulsifier is one of the last things that you choose. You really need to pick the composition of your oil phase then find an emulsifier that matches the HLB requirements for that oil phase.

    Perry: technically, you are right. From the marketing point of view, composition is the tail that wags the dog.
