Are there any alternatives for a ceramide complex in a sensitive skin formula?

It’s unlikely the ceramides are having much of an effect beyond being a humectant so something like glycerin or sodium PCA might work.

Ceramide NP is available at a various wholesalers in Europe for $6.

Have you tried including other ingredients which the skin can use to regenerate the ceramide layer? Vitamin c, niacinamide and linoleic acid-rich natural oils come to mind. And of course you can add a minimal amount of ceramides for claims as well.
