Hey! Hope you’re all doing good

I’ve been trying to formulate a brow gel very similar to the anastasia brow freeze: I’m using the following ingredients: Water, Ceteareth-30, Propanediol, AMP-Acrylates/Allyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Glycerin and Ethylhexylglycerin (and) Phenoxyethanol.

I’ve tried heating everything except for the Ethylhexylglycerin (and) Phenoxyethanol, and adding it when the temperature is lower, i’ve also tried heating just the Ceteareth-30 in phase 1 and the other components in phase 2 (heated as well) and then adding phase 1 in phase 2,

But I still can´t find the right way to do it,

    You have any suggestions?

    And thank you so much

Try removing the polymer since i didnt see it in the IL for the brow gel. Why was it added to the formula?

The final product of that brow looks similar to a clear deodorant which propylene glycol is used and is a main staple for the formulation . Try adding it to your formula.

what % do you have ceteareth-30? maybe start at 10% or higher to get a good starting point.

I would do phase 1 water , sorbitol, propylene glycol, glycerin , propanediol heat to 75-80C

    phase 2 ceteareth-30(o/w) heat to 75-80C add to ph1 at 75-80C

phase 3 preservative , check pH? monitor cool down to see when mixture starts to harden to add ph3 around this time .

Thank you so much for the response!

The polymer was added based in another product which is very similar to the anastasia one (Photo inserted below), it´s a fixative polymer, so I thought of adding it as well.

I will try adding as well the propylene glycol as you suggested,

    The % of ceteareth-30 is 25%.

I´ll also try doing the phases as you say, thank you so much!

Hi! I know this post is quite old, I’m in the US and was wondering where you found Ceteareth-30 at? TIA
