    Hi, I am planning to make a body lotion with coconut, rice bran and palm oil,KOH, 3% glycerin,2 % NaCl 0.5% citric acid, herbal extracts and essential oils. Do I need to  additional preservatives?

    ph is around 7. can you please suggest some preservative if necessary

    You can use either 1% phenoxyethanol or % Germaben 11 which I recommend as we have samples of cream that are still good after four year shelf life.

    phenoxyethanol is very expensive. can you suggest anything from the list below with percentage

    Propyl parabbin,Methyl parabbin ,Sodium benzoate ,Potsssium sorbate

    Phenoxyethanol is normally very cheap.

    0.2% methyl + 0.1% propyl paraben. At pH 7 the other two don’t function.
