    Hi all,
I’ve made this body butter/moisturiser for my dry skin, it is a nice texture but I don’t find it moisturising enough:neutral:  what ecocert ingredient/s might help for longer lasting moisture?

    Here is my formula:

    Water                                              qs
    Glycerine                                         3%
    Prodew 500                                    2%

    Ecomulse/Ritamulse                   10%
    Cocoa butter                                 15%
    Sesame oil                                     8%

Floraesters K100 (jojoba esters, hydrolysed jojoba protein)                              2%
    Hydrolysed silk protein               2%
    Vitamin E95                                 0.1%

    Spectrastat (preservative)          1.1%

Aloe Vera is a great moisturiser, try using x10 concentrate to get a 20% concentration (2% of the concentrate), its extract number is C6090C. And you could add 2% sorbitol.

Thank you for your suggestions Belassi. The Prodew 500 contains mostly sodium PCA, do you find sorbitol to be a better at Moisturising? I will be sure to try out the aloe too.

It seems I was a little hasty in judging the body Cream. After using it for several weeks, it is actually quite Moisturising, it has resolved all dry skin issues. However, can anyone tell me why it has changed colour?? It has turned from a creamy colour to a light orange/pink colour?? The emulsion is unchanged in all other ways. Are there light sensitive ingredients in the formulation?  My preservative is Spectrastat
INCI: Caprylhydroxamic Acid (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Glycerin
