  • Best Growth Oil for Healthy and Strong Locs?

    Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking for a good growth oil for locs to keep them healthy, strong, and growing well. There are so many options out there—castor oil, rosemary oil, and even some blends. I’d love to hear from those who have used growth oils regularly. What has worked best for you?

Are there any specific brands or DIY mixes you swear by? Also, how often do you apply it, and do you notice a real difference in length and thickness?

Looking forward to your recommendations and experiences! Thanks in advance.

    Hello!

Having strong locs really is all about the maintenance.

If the person is not getting their locs “tighten” at regular increments (more like 2 months vs every 9 months). The weight of the loc can cause breakage from the scalp. You also want to be careful about putting too much “hair product” on locs because that will make them wet/heavier causing more tension/breakage at the scalp. Locs should be dry and that is how they bind. There are plenty of YouTube videos of locking experts cleaning locs of hair product.

Batana Oil, Rosemary oil, Castor Oils are all good for scalp and hair growth. Locs/Dreads are natural hairstyles I would suggest you find a hairstylist that specializes in natural hair/Locs to get better direction.

    Hope this helps.
