  Beginner in Color cosmetics

  Dear all,

  I was advised by a cosmetic scientist to come visit this forum & wow! This is such an amazing forum with plenty to offer! Thank you all - really appreciate it.

  I’m a pharmacist registered in Asia & Australia. Been a member of PCCA and have been a medicinal compounder (mainly tablets, supps & capsules) for the past 4 years. Recently gained interest in formulating color cosmetics. With not much background into it… I’m hoping that someone can advise me on where I should begin my color cosmetic journey. Any books (electronic/offline) that I should look up?

  I really want to start making some blemish creams & contour sticks.

  I know SwiftCraftyMonkey has lots of great (beginner) material on colour cosmetics.

  Two books are worth getting.

  1.  Coloring the cosmetic world
  2.  Color Cosmetics - A practical guide

  If you can get them, those are the best for formulating.
