    Hello!

So so I am trying to make an Azelaic Acid serum and I’m wondering if Dimethyl Isosorbide would be an appropriate solvent to use? I know ethoxydiglycol is often used but I’m leaning more towards DMI because it’s a bit more cosmetically elegant! I’m also wondering if anyone has any tips and ball park usage range for the DMI in this type of formulation.

    Thank you very much!!

I have the same question. Were you able to figure it out?

Try using water or glycerin at a 1:6 ratio. Heat it a bit and it should go right in.

Are you actually a cosmetic chemist? Because Azelaic Acid is almost insoluble in water
