    Hello -  I’m creating a hydrating (anhydrous) lip mask, but after a few weeks, it smells metallic. Could it be I have added too much mica? Or is it the rosehip oil? Or both? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.
    Here is the formula.
    (Phase A)
    14.00 Phytosteryl/Isostearyl/Cetyl/Stearyl/Behenyl Dimer Dilinoleate
    10.00 Polyglycerol-3 Beeswax
    10.00 Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil/Vegetable Oil (Hydrogenated)/Lavandula Angustifolia Extract

    2.50 Mica (Mica/Titanium Dioxide/Iron Oxide)
    (Phase C)

    I don’t think there’s any way of us knowing - you’d need to smell each raw ingredient.

    @Sponge I would never recommend smelling raw ingredients to anyone. That is very dangerous.

    Possibly the preservative.
