because it acts as both an emollient and a solvent. so it helps the deodorant go on smoothly and feel soft, balancing out the drying effect of the aluminium. Plus, it gives a lightweight, non-greasy feel, which reduces irritation and makes the deodorant comfortable to wear, especially for sensitive skin. basically, it makes the deodorant work better and feel better, What’s your issue with it? Oh, it might help a bit with stability too?

Actually almost you said true about it is lighweight, emollient and solvent however i Never read That There is an evidence between Lightweight oil and anti irritation effect ، also all function said can be done by other ingredient sush as c12-15 alkylbenzoate. So my problem is wich thing has ppg 15 that others hasn’t May as you said something related of aliminum chlorohydrate.

Not sure if it helps, but I’ve found this in my notes: “PPG-15 Stearyl Ether also prohibits salts from crystallizing in a formulation. PPG-15 Stearyl Ether can have some side effects such as minor skin irritation. Therefore, a patch test is recommended prior to usage.-specialchem”.
