If I am using salicylic acid then after dissolving and absorbing all oily dirt, where does the absorbed/ collected dirt+salicylic acid go? Does it remain on the the face/hair?

It you are using it in a cleanser then it just rinses down the drain. If you’re using it in a wipe on / wipe off product, then it goes into the wash cloth. Even if some is left behind, it eventually is sloughed off the face along with all the dead skin cells that you are always losing.

Using salicylic acid helps dissolve dirt and oil from your skin. After it does its job, you wash away the dirt and oil when you rinse your face. This means it won’t stay on your skin or hair; everything gets cleaned off. Just remember to wash your face thoroughly!

@Ashley_Finch Just out of curiosity, are you from the AI multiverse? 🤓. Just to clarify, salicylic acid is not a solubilizer, but a keratolytic agent, meaning that it breaks down bonds, especially the ones from the most outer layer of the skin.
