hi there i want to ask. what is the correct way to store carbomer940 gel bulk ?

i store it in a closed plastic container, and after maybe 2-3 months, the gel started to smell like glue,

i use only water, phenoxyethanol, carbomer, TEA..

    thanks

Both TEA and Carbomer have some scent associated with it. The TEA being amine is typical of amines and can be a little towards the ‘fishy’ side.
Carbomer is more acrid and not dissimilar to acetic acid in some cases. The combination of the two can smell a little ‘gluey’ I’d have though.
This might be exacerbated by being stored (a) in bulk and (b) in a sealed container where the volatile portions might accumulate.

May I ask why you’re making bulk gel ahead of time? What is the gel used for?

i use it at cosmetic factory, store in bulk and use it whenever its needed.. usually i store about only 1-2 months only.. if i make it in small amount (in glass beaker) no “glue” smell..

is there a correct way to store it ? or is there a way to remove the smell if already happen,
