  Water Based Pomade Formulation - Help Needed

  Hello everyone.

  So I am interested in making a water based pomade or a matte wax for my hair. I’ve always had an interest in hair waxes as I use them everyday (can’t live without them).
  My preference is a matte like finish with a strong 

  I’ve done some research and came up with this formula. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m really close to buying the ingredients and trying a batch out. Can you please give me some advice if you think this formula will work?
  
  Also, I currently have regular castor oil at my disposal. Will it work to instead of peg 40 hydrogenated castor oil?
