  Trimethylsiloxy silicate, polypropyl silsesquioxane in Matte Liquid Lipsticks

  Hi Everyone,

  Can someone please advise me on the usage levels of silicon resin in matte liquid lipsticks? I have my formula which I love, however, I find 15% is not enough to stop my lipstick from transferring, but when I add more- it gets very sticky, and stops drying matte.

  15% sounds like a lot. What other ingredients are in your base? Are you having a hard time dissolving the resin?

  Thank you for your responses and Happy New Year!

  I referred mainly to the brochures and formulas from dow corning I could find online, e.g

  I use isododecane at 45.5%. The resin dissolves perfectly fine. What percentage of silicone resin would you suggest?
