We Hire ASAP a Product Ingredient List and Product Description Editor (for global product launch)
A new NYC based brand is globally launching 48 products in August 2016, and we need a freelance editor, who knows how to create descriptions of each product and its ingredient list according to our formulations, marketing requirements and formal requirements of US, EU, Australia and some other countries. Also, we would be interested in the person who can work as a product formulation and product consultant/reviewer.

Marnie RousselI will also point out that this sort of request for information/pricing is typically ignored on this forum, mostly because it’s peripheral to cosmetic chemistry, but also because it’s phrased in a way that comes off a bit rude. It is only because I know and can vouch for Marnie personally that I bothered to take the time to respond to this. -
I’d also like to point out that it’s not possible for us to really have an idea of what’s required without seeing a typical item that’s already been through the process. When I looked at the request, I saw:
1. freelance editor. Well, I happen to be a published author and have edited several novels and quite a lot of thesis, Google specs for Google, and whatnot. So, OK.2. create descriptions of each product and its ingredient list. This isn’t an editing job per se, it is a marketing job and I’d probably expect an advertising agency’s input.3. product formulation and product consultant/reviewer. I didn’t really understand this. If you are launching 48 products surely they are already finished designs? And “reviewer”? For that, you will need a public relations person prepared to send samples to possible p.r. prospects such as beauty bloggers, newspapers, magazines, social marketing networks…So to my eye, it appears you’re looking for several different people! -

Chemists can do it without a problem but for a freelance job I doubt anyone would risk being legally responsible. Regulatory agencies charge anywhere between 200-300 per person/per hour and you will look at minimum 15 hours.For consultation on formulation, many of the chemists here can help but you will not be looking at “freelancer” rates.- an editor/writer who has the knowledge of cosmetic industry and and can form texts according to our marketing positionsYou can hire a freelancer creative writer at $10/hr but if you want the expertise of a person with “the knowledge of cosmetic industry” to review an evaluate your piece then the rates will reflect that persons expertise and the value of their signature (and their risk) on your documents.
