  • ECOCERT & Whole foods premium compatible oil in water base lotion formula - changes?

    DI water 70.5%
    Organic Jojoba oil 20%
    Glyceryl Stearate 5%
    Cetearyl Alcohol                 2%
    Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate   1%
    Gluconolactone and Sodium Benzoate 1.5%

Want to keep it as simple as possible, all of these are OK for ECOCERT and Whole foods compatibility, but any way to make it better w/o losing comp? It’s just supposed to be a base formula, so moisturizing or “active”/active ingredients can be added later.

Final pH should be between 5-6, might need a pH adjuster (interestingly whole foods allows lactic acid for pH adjustment only).

    Probably need a thickener.

Interestingly some use essential oils as preservatives at under 1%, I wonder if there are any that are low on smell, high on antimicrobial/fungal effect? Seems sketchy to me
