  • Help! Starting my own line. Canada? Chemist????

    Hi!

I’d like to start my own cosmetic line.
I’m wondering if there are any companies that are able to make my products in Canada (Especially in Alberta).
    Please and Thank You!

At the moment I don’t know of any but if you’re starting your own line you will find this free report we’ve written helpful.  http://startacosmeticline.com

In my opinion the best way to make connections with private label manufacturers is to attend trade shows and network. In the Us there are natural expo east and west. They are global shows and a great visit. Furthermore, i would be sure to begin investigating and securing your distribution channels now as this will be the main factor in getting your products to market and make you a more attractive customer to a private label compounder.

I don’t know anyone in Alberta but if you’re willing to travel a little further I know some in the west coast (BC) and lots in Ontario and Quebec. But this also depends on what types of products and what quantity you’re considering. Send me a message if you want to discuss further.

HAPPI puts out a yearly directory.

There are several companies in BC, but none in Alberta, sorry.

I recently got in touch with a local lab here in Vancouver, Canada. Their quote was around $10,000 for a minimum of 3000 units and a 9 month process prior to launching. I really couldn’t afford that so I decided to try and tackle it on my own at home. Just wanted to give you an idea of how much it would cost from my experience to give you a heads up! Good luck on your search.
