EntrepreneurJuly 18, 2020 at 10:18 am in reply to: Thickening Non-Ionic and Amphoteric surfactants@Zara do you know how to use HEC?
It is water soluble and can mix very easily buy after mixing you have to increase the pH to 8-10 for it to get thickened. And then you can decrease the pH back.
Decyl glucoside is very hard to thicken and you would need more HEC. Lauryl and coco Glucoside is not so difficult. -

EntrepreneurJuly 13, 2020 at 6:25 pm in reply to: Cationic surfactant vs cationic polymer in anionic Shampoo@EVchem i made a Shampoo with %1 Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine and you can feel more condition and less buildup in first use compared to same formula with %0.2 cationic guar.
It is very thick an no separation after 4 days. I want to know if this separation for other people happened when formulating, after some time or they haven’t tried it by themselves -

EntrepreneurJuly 7, 2020 at 9:35 am in reply to: Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine in Shampoo@Perry So what is a good replacement for cationic guar in thisSthis with no or minimum buildup?

@Perry thanks

@yes blends are better but my question was is there any rule to not use two preservative to there maximum when we blend them?
For example: in Euxyl®
k700 which is: Phenoxyethanol 30%, benzyl alcohol 30%, potassium sorbate 15%, tocopherol 15%,
water 15%. The maximum allowed is %1.5, that becomes %0.45 benzyl alcohol and %0.45 phenoxyethanol. -

EntrepreneurJune 26, 2020 at 2:51 am in reply to: Effect of salt on Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate@ngarayeva001 how do you thicken it then and what other surfactants you use with it?
-
@nikolatesla23 yes that is good and easy But it will save a lot of time if some one knows the minimum amount of SLES that is needed to be thickened.
Because i want SLES be there just to thicken the product, other surfactants for foam and cleaning.
