Suppository formulation using PEGs
Hello all, I’m wondering if anyone here has experience in formulating suppository bases using PEGs. I’ve found some formulas that use use PEG 3350 as a base and I would like to know if that won’t cause a laxative effect. Thank you!

This is a pharmaceutical product, even if it were approved to be sold OTC,
this is something only a pharmaceutical chemist should formulate, not an amateur. -

FDA Regulations clearly state that you’d need a licensed pharmacist.
So you’d better find one and ask him or her.
Don’t ask in an Internet board (that’s focused on cosmetics, not pharma, by the way) -
Thank you @Gunther, I’m working with a laboratory on this formulation, just wanted to see if anyone on this forum had any experience working with PEG 3350 because none of us have worked with it before.
