Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate
Good afternoon everybody! I have one question that makes me really nervous. I am working on Shampoo/ Gel douch formulas, so i want to try Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate.
I read that “with some ingredients it may cause the formation of nitrosamines”! As i dont have a chemical background i am asking experts here for HELP! Under what conditions can this surfactant form nitrosamines????

I don’t think sarcosinate cause the formation of nitrosamines. Why do you think it does so?

@Abdullah just found an article and it said that”Because sarcosine can be nitrosated to form N-nitrososarcosine, a known animal carcinogen, these ingredients should not be used in cosmetic products in which N-nitroso compounds may be formed”
