  • Shampoo makes hair static-y

I’ve got anionic and amphoterics as my shampoo base, and a cationic polymer (cationic guar gum). everything else is nonionic as far as I know. PH of my shampoo is below 5, so the amphoteric should become cationic.

I notice that it makes my hair prone to getting staticky. I get up from the couch- hair’s flying all over the place. I lay on the bed, and that’s it.

    Why is this happening?
Yes the air has been dry this winter.. but I don’t think the average shampoo makes hair this staticky.

    Thank you in advance.
