  Preserving Products that contain Colloidal Oatmeal

  Does anyone have any experience preserving products that contain colloidal oatmeal?

  I am considering adding some colloidal oatmeal to a lotion at 1% and am wondering if it is going to cause me issues with preservation. The preservative will probably be Benzyl Alcohol/Dehydroacetic Acid or Phenoxyethanol/Ethylhexylglycerin.

  Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

  well I have a bottle that is 15% oatmeal with my usual modest amount of preservative sitting around in 27C so I will let you know if it turns into Fungus The Bogeyman (this is from before someone here told me that 1% was sufficient)

  You should not have a problem with either of those preservatives at 1%

  Benzyl Alcohol/ Ethylhexylglycerin .5/.5 should do it.
