  Preservative needed when adding glycerin to oil based balm?

  Is a preservative needed if glycerin is added to an oil and wax based balm? The glycerin would be approximately 20% of the formulation. If so, what kind of  preservative is best for an oil, wax, and glycerin formulation? Any input would be much appreciated!
