This says “Made of 100% tempered safety glass. Backed in white safety vinyl. Designed for all paints. Smooth, non-porous surface improves color mixing. Reusable and economical unlike other palettes. Easy to clean-no mess, no dried paint build-up. Dried oil paint is removed with light scraping. Dried acrylic paint peels off. Recommended by professional artists and art instructors. Classic palette shape measures 10 3/4 in. x 13 in. x 1/8 in. and has a round thumb hole. Rectangular palette is 11 in. x 14 in. x 1/8 in.”

I got a porcelain mortar and pestle I wil use this to grind and make particle size even smaller if I can ( already pre ground oxides) for some reason the oil or octyldodecanol really sticks to the pigment unlike the isododocane but that’s what I need for the matte lip stain ( it almost acts like water staying at the surface)
I am hoping the glass muller and slab will solve this (after the pigments are already less than 5 microns).

The octyldodecanol works for the other cosmetics without the glass muller it seems to disperse fine in the pigments by itself .. So frustrating.

Next time I am just going to buy the pre blend of mica “Ingredients: Mica (77019), Bismuth Oxychloride (77163), Iron Oxide (77499), Iron Oxide (77492).”
I believe you can just add this to any base please correct me if I am wrong they are already ground to a fine powder..

I just didn’t want to waste all the pigment , iron oxides and lakes I purchased that would be extremely wasteful

It seems like nothing wants to work I just want to color adjust my formulas !! I have ground , mortar and pestle got the isododocane to disperse and it doesn’t want to mix into any of my foundations it won’t totally change the color and when I put it in the liquid lip stain it soon flakes off??? Is there anything left

I grind in my grinder and disperse in castor, octyldecanol etc. and let them sit for a while. for my lipstick i use castor oil and disperse my colorants in that.. i dont use these for a while as they sit …  after a  month they are not lump but nice creamy  paste. SADLY a grinding mill is what we need. something the chemist have in there labs….  :(
