If I am using the ol type and amount of emulsifier for a face cream, what would be the main causes precipitation after several weeks?

You would need to post a Formulation in order to get a useful answer. Many ducts can cause precipitation. It is very Formula dependent.

The theoretically correct answer would be: Instability or incompatibility causes this 😉 .
As mentioned before, without a detailed composition, it’s impossible to guess what’s happening in your case.
