  Introducing myself

  Hello everyone! My name is Vanessa and I’m new to the board. I’m not a chemist, but I’ve been in the cosmetics field for over a decade as an artist and retail manager.

  I’ve recently gotten interested in DIY cosmetics as a hobby and I’ve been playing around with making eyeshadows to start. I’ve been having a lot of fun mixing up my powders and binders and pigments and have found the process to be educational!

  As I’ve grown to like it, I started hunting for more specific formulation information, and stumbled on this board. What a gem of advice and education! It’s wonderful to see a community of people supporting learning like this!

  I might not have a lot to contribute, as I’m pretty new making makeup, but I’m excited about what I will learn here!
