In need of a custom packaging supplier.

I sketched my own custom lipstick cases. If someone can suggest any packaging company that can take my sketches to create my own custom lipstick cases. A company that works with start ups also it can be either in europe or us. If anyone can help me i totally appreciate it

I think for true custom work there’s usually a 25,000 piece minimum order. Do you have that kind of money availablr?

Check out beauty.webpackaging.com, which is an online magazine. There are several dozen companies to pick from that’s located in Europe and USA.

@Nyree, there are three or four levels of “custom” packaging, from least to most cost:

1) Pure stock containers, decorated, colored, and/or labeled to make them unique.

2) Pure stock containers, with sleeves or other glued-on decorations/accessories to make them unique.

3) True custom containers, where an unique mold and/or mechanism is designed and manufactured just for you. The costs for this option typically run into hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The advent of custom 3D manufacturing will probably make options 2 and 3 less expensive as time goes on, but we’re still talking bunches of money.

Could you tell us more about what your lipstick cases are like? Are they made out of wood? Plastic? What shape? You could try to find people on e.g. Etsy who make similar items and partner with them for small volume work.

Hi zink i dont have lipstick cases yet..im looking for a company that will work with a startup. In hoping to purchase 1000-1500 aluminum black square lipstick cases. .

Remember that you need to do stability/package compatibility testing on your new components, too. One area that could trip you up is the little flanges in the base of the lipstick container that hold the lipstick in - not all of the lipstick formulas will work with all of the flange/fin shapes and vice versa. Also, just because your stick holds right after initial insertion, that doesn’t mean that it will still hold after a month or two.
