I’m driven by the beauty of simplicity.
When formulating and producing products, I’m into replacing functional benefits with experiential benefits. And “trading down,” down to the local, the simple, the unrefined, but raw and true.
Who talks dishwashing these days? Not too many. But someone has to do it.
The beauty of simplicity is compelling, so in 2006, I formulated my No Fragrance Dish Wash Soap. And I manufactured and exported this product globally.
It was a huge hit for good reason. Experientially, customers globally appreciated the hand-friendliness of this dishwash. Also, they felt good about what you are doing for the environment.
Yes, I formulated this product from recycled cooking oil. And what goes down the sink is biodegradable.
But I then went one step further. A group of rural-based intellectually disabled collected used cooking oil locally. Under my instruction, they turned it into dishwash soap via the process of saponification. So the customer purchases globally were providing these people with a sustainable income.
And functional benefits? Very simple. It’s an effective cleaner. Lasts for ages. So yes, it’s cost-effective.
And if you don’t want to use recycled oil, I developed a formulation and method for using coconut oil. And yes, you can add fragrance to these dishwash products.
