A lot of water based vitamin C serums leave the skin feeling sticky, dry or tacky after application - similar to the feeling of a mask drying on your face.

I’ve found that 10% butylene glycol helps significantly, but it’s doesn’t completely eliminate the poor skin feel. Are there any proven ways to do this without resorting to extreme levels of solvents?

Some things that I imagine could be worth trying: Isododecane, Ethanol, Volatile or Nonvolatile Silicones, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Glycerin, Glycolic Acid.

LMK if you have any tips.

    Maybe some polyquat conditioners?

You might want to look up water soluble silicones. CaresilSCSS 7300, 7301 or 7302 might help.
