How to produce exact lipstick colour you need?
Hello everyone,
Please share your expertise in the question of colour matching. We have been selling lipsticks from private lable company, now we want to add a few colours, which are not listed in their catalogue. How do you find a colour you need? They say we can send the pantone number. Or we require a special person services for colour matching?Any information is very much appreciated! -

Some of the companies selling pearlescent pigments and/or colors still do a color forecast either once or twice a year, predicting the latest hot colors. They will usually have starting formulas to work from that you can give to the private label company. That is easiest way to do this.Second easiest is to find a lipstick from another company that you want to copy, and send it to the private label place you’re buying from. They will probably charge you extra to match the shade.Otherwise, you can buy a pantone book or two, or hire a color matching expert as a consultant or an employee. -
