    Hi!

I’m currently trying to reformulate the shampoo bar and conditioner bar, mainly because of cost. But I find some issues in the original formula and one of them I still can’t figure it out, which is that the bars don’t last as long as bars in market. I wanted to make the bar lasts 10-15 washes, considering a 15g bar (as sample). Today the same sample lasts only 4-5 washes. Ahh, btw, the foam is poor, seems like it does not lather well, I wonder if it’s because of dosage of oils that goes in the formula… I would appreciate any tips on that too!

    Here’s the formula:

    Dicaprylyl carbonate 12%

    Cetyl alcohol 23%

    Cetearyl alcohol 10%

    Tocopheryl acetate 0.50%

    Sodium cocoyl isethionate 25%

    Shea butter 5%

    Canola oil 3%

    Lexfeel Shine 2%

    Aqua 2%

    Glycerin 1.5%

    Dye qs

    CAPB 5%

    Kaolin 8%

    Lexgard natural 1%

    Fragrance 2%
