Niacinamide won’t really have any scalp or hair benefits in a shampoo as it needs more prolonged contact with the skin to be absorbed. It would only be effective as a stabilizer or for marketing purposes.

It is water a soluable ingredient -> most of it will be washed off to the drain.

Not really. And you would be increasing potential irritation from the surfactants.
Prepare a hair tonic and include it in it.

wow the marketing gimmicks are real. So many shampoos are advertising niacinimide as a hair miracle.
