Greetings to All formulators ! I have been working on a low cost Aloevera Facial Gel in India. The selling point of this product is its crystal clear gel. However, on application the gel is a bit too watery. Please help me find a solution to this without the gel losing its clarity ! Thanks in Advance !

The formula is as follows -

    D.M Water - Q.S
    Propylene Glycol - under 3 %
    Hydroxyethyl Urea - under 3%
    Aloevera Extract 99% pure - around 2 %
    Carbopol 980
    Preservative - 0.5 %
    NaOh 20% Sol (Sodium Hydroxide) - Q.S

    ph - 6.95

I am using carbopol 980 due to its stability and its price. I cannot afford ultrez 20/21 since it is expensive.

It’s watery because it’s mostly water- if you can’t change carbomer then you’re pretty limited here, maybe just add more glycol?
