  Effect of salt’s on CMC of anionic surfactants

  How does salts like NACL, sodium hydroxide and sodium tripoli phosphate effect CMC and surface tension of anionic surfactants like SLS:SLES blend or alone?

  Will it increase or decrease?

  I agree with @philgeis. Salts tend to decrease CMC by reducing electrostatic repulsion of ionic surfactants. I’d not put sodium hydroxide in the combo.
