  cream/lotion containing salicylic acid

  What is the optimal pH for a product containing salicylic acid for cream/lotion/ toner/ or cleanser?
  Let’s say my pH has 5.0-6.0 range, does this mean SA activity will decrease?

  to be effective, try pH 3.8
