Ascorbic Acid Verse Ethyl Ascorbic Acids (Vc-Et) Verse Ascorbic Acid 2-Glucoside (AA2G)

Vitamin C is wonderful for skin. But, it is so unstable. Therefore, its derivatives are more stable. But, its derivatives' efficacy are the same as ascorbic acid?
I appreciate to anyone who has experiences to provide me the comparison between Vitamin C verse Vc-Et verse AA2G in term of stable and efficacy.

Thank you so much in advance.

Normally you should be able to find some comparison data compiled by the suppliers from Ulprospector.

These are from my dropbox folder that i had saved.

Please download them in case i move them in the future.

Normally i'd use EAA for my own serum since i don't prefer LAA due to the low pH requirements.
  • I would resign from Ascorbic Acid, unless you are ready to make a product without water, e.g. based on propanediol. I bought a mini version of the serum with Ascorbic Acid a few times or got samples - they were always orange right after opening.
Unfortunately, you can only find any comparisons of the stability of these ingredients in marketing brochures. Anyway, Ascorbyl Glucoside is most stable at pH 6.5 and Ethyl Ascorbic Acid at pH 5.5. In the case of Ascorbyl Glucoside, you need to take more care of the pH during the preparation of the solution, since Ascorbyl Glucoside solution has a low pH, and it is stable in neutral.
