One of the re-packers has started to carry this.  Was just curious as to what people whom have used this....think of it?

I am NOT using it as part of a sunscreen, but more or less looking at gelling agents in regards to a cationic hand cream I am working on.

So I guess....texture is my area of biggest concern, and the humectant properties as a secondary concern.

Any feedback would be great....good, bad or otherwise.

Galactoarabinan does not really give you any viscosity build, it does not function as a gelling agent per se.

  • I'd like to bring this thread back from the archives as I too am curious about Galactoarabinan...does anyone have any experience formulating with it? Is it an effective humectant? I did read some information @Pharma posted about it back in 2020, stating it can make products feel drier and less there anything else one should know about this product if one plans to formulate with it? Thanks in advance!
