Is syneresis a desirable effect in some cosmetics applications? I have been told yes but I am looking for some examples but I can't seem to find it. Instead I though it was an undesirable effect
Actually it's more like 2 separated phases e.g. a hair product I have seen where there is an oil phase and a aqueous phase and the emulsifier being omitted to give this typical look in a clear container.
I second @milliachemists assertion that syneresis is generally viewed as a negative formula attribute. There are far more formula types that are designed to perform as a uniform systems rather than 2 separate systems.
