Hello,
I have a liquid shampoo formula I would like to produce that is eczema friendly. I am trying to use as few ingredients as possible to reduce the risk of contact dermatitis (since eczema can be allergy-induced).
I also am concerned about using Cocamidopropyl betaine because recently I have read mixed thoughts about it being a harsh chemical.
Do any of you have scientific data I can read instead of the personal opinion posts on the internet?
Thank you.

TLDR; allergic contact dermatitis from CAPB is caused by impurities, not CAPB itself. Irritant contact dermatitis and diffuse irritation is dependent on the concentration (as is the case for all surfactants). Under 10% CAPB concentration shows none to mild irritation.
