  Can i add preservative to these raw materials?

  I purchase amodimethicone micro emulsion from china and usually it takes 3 months to arrive. It is in 50 kg drum and preserved only with 0.4% phenoxyethanol. So can i add 0.1% formalin or 0.1% CMI MI to these 50kg drums to bost the preservation?

  Ingredients are amodimethicone and trideceth-12 micro emulsion

  Suggest you do not. If you receive it clean - appropriate sanitary practices of sampling and use should not pose a risk.

    Thanks. I will not add any preservative.

    Just to know, is there any negative effect if i add any preservative in it?
