  alpha arbutin 2% serum formulation related problems

  i am new to cosmitic formulation field. i want to prepare 2% alpha arbuin serum but alpha arbutin forms needle like crystals . kindly guide me how to solve this problem?

  Can you tell you more about the formula? what do ou put along the a-arbutin

    carbomer, hyaluronic acid, preservative, polyhydroxy alcohol

  Are you sure it’s the a-arbutin? try it without the hyaluronic acid to check. For the ingredients you gave, i don’t see potentiel precipitation (Except for maybe the HA with something else)

    alpha arbutin is precipitating.. the result is derived by elimination method. is there any grade problem with alpha arbutin? i have tried it with 1% but still problem is not solved.

  Besides the alcohol you mentioned in your formula, are you using ethanol or any other alcohol? That can reduce arbutin solubility.

    except actinovol-3 no other alcohol is used…
